Meeting was brought to order by Cindy McAfee since Jerry was in CCW training.

Treasurer's Report: 68 of 220 households have paid their dues (31%) with 21 households paying additional contributions above their dues. Income in February was thus $1,835.00. Total expenses (Electricity and Holiday Decoration Prize) was $97.53. Our ending cash balance was $2,075.83.

Advanced Turf Management, who handles the weed control in our common areas, offered us a 5% discount if we prepay for the year (about $32). In prior years, lawn care was one of the first areas we cut back when money was tight. We decided to just pay as we go in order to maintain the option of canceling later in the year.

Our donated copier broke down. Service would be $95 just to find out what's wrong with the machine. Mike Joyner asked that Jerry leave him voice mail on the make and model of the copier and he will try to leverage the city's contract with Allen Business Machines toward a reduced cost service call for Harrison Hill. (Thanks, Mike!)

Covenants. We examined the covenants of another neighborhood and decided that we need to focus on the one covenant we've been trying to pass for some time, about limiting the number of rental properties in Harrison Hill. We will re-publish the rental covenant and work to get the level of signatures required when it comes to a vote in May.

We had discussion about the Kroger meeting for the benefit of those not present.

We had discussion of the progress of the Southtown deal. The owner of the Southtown property is skating close to the edge of having his property condemned and taken over by the city so that progress can be made. After Menards, a Miejer and/or a Super Walmart as well as other stores and businesses have expressed interest in developing the area.

Delilah Brown, of Junior Achievement, invited area residents to participate in JA at the South Side area schools. There are many openings. Look for an item in the next newsletter about JA.

We scheduled our next meeting for Thursday April 10th at 7pm at Grace St. John's. Meeting closed at 8pm.
